My Bicycle Trip Across Canada: Day 51: French Historical Reenactments and Triangular Hats

June 17th: Ile D’Orleans, QC to Cap-Saint-Ignace, QC (the map below is wrong): 130km

Hung out with Jean-Louis. he made us breakfast then showed us around. They have 3 dogs, 2 cats, a goat, 15 chickens, 20 pigeons, 20 ducks… a sugar shack, an old 1920 car… taxidermied owls.

He gave us a quick tour of the island, and then sent us on our way.

Bike path until a ferry. Then highway 132. Hot day. Stopped for ice cream…somewhere.

Stopped for lunch in Montmory (?) and talked to some highschool kids in broken french.

Tonight we’re on some guy’s lawn… he does historical reenactments. We may do breakfast with him tomorrow.
