My Bicycle Trip Across Canada: Day 41: 260km!!!

June 7th: Thessalon, ON to just East of Sudbury, ON: 260km (the most km we will do on the trip!)

[saying goodbye to Norma and Murray]

Woke up at 6am. Ate and left. Biked 60km before our first break. Made it to Blind River where we picnicked near this fountain/river.

Bike a bunch of 40km rides before deciding that was too much (@ 180km). Then we finished with a bunch of 20km rides.

Got dark when we were half-way through Sudbury (we had 30km to go).

Phill go a flat about 6km to the end. Stayed at Jeff Landry’s parents place [Jeff was my boss for the Teaching Assistant job in first year chemistry I had for the first three years of my PhD]. They had some property where they built a small shack and a parked an RV. It was really cute/quaint. They had human composting toilets.

They gave us brownies and carrot cake, chilli, beef rib stuff, and rice. It was heavenly.
