Got on the road at 7am. Biked 3 hours in the miserable cold to get to Upsula. Ate breakfast and checked the internets.

[poor Phill. Notice the dish gloves. Both of us only had winter mitts/gloves, and the day before and today, with the rain and the cold weather, made it miserable to bike with or without the winter gloves. So we these very fashionable yellow gloves.]

Weather cleared up for us after that point. We biked an additional 140km or so into Thunder Bay.

Robin’s place [my incredibly kind-hearted and funny cousin] had been flooded the day before. His back entrance smelled like piss because his dog couldn’t get outside to pee.

The place isn’t great, but Robin is such a good guy I wouldn’t complain. I should plan to see him more.
