My Bicycle Trip Across Canada: Day 24: More Manitoba…

May 21st: Oak Lake, MB to Carberry, MB: 100km

I’m trying to remember this day from the 25th.

Oh yeah! The second half of this day was windy [so much for ‘prevailing winds’]. We went through Brandon and I almost got hit by a car [I may be exaggerating. I was seriously tired of the shitty road that led into Brandon, and saw a bike path on the other side of the road, and started to cross before looking. Then I saw a car was beside me but figured I still had enough room/time to cross, and so did so. The car was not happy with my decision, and I can’t blame him/her. If you’re reading this (doubt it), I’m sorry!]

I hated this day.

I think we camped near Carberry near some farmer’s field.
