My Bicycle Trip Across Canada: Day 17: Rude Awakening

May 14th: [close to Bassano], AB to Medicine Hat, AB: 140km

Last night we woke up at 1am to honking and bright lights on our tent. I think Phill is afraid of racism [out here], so he asked me to check it out. Before I could find my pants though, they drove away. [note: this was definitely one of the weirdest and scariest moments of the trip]

Today was much the same as yesterday: hot and long.

Finished around 7pm in Medicine Hat. A wonderful couple is hosting us: Bonnie and Doug. They made us dinner and are offering breakfast.

[no pictures…Alberta is boring]
