My Bicycle Trip Across Canada: Day 13: Lake Louise is Frozen

May 10th: Field, BC to Canmore, AB: 115km (920km total):

This morning was miserably cold. Could barely function…

First 25km we crossed the border and visited Lake Louise. Turns out it’s 4km of steep hill till the lake proper. Worth it, I suppose, but didn’t look like in the pictures: lots of snow and clouds.

Next 90km went by in a flash.

Currently sitting in someone’s house in Canmore, listening to Cat Power. [In case I forgot to mention it earlier: we ended up staying with people we would meet online on the cycle tour hosting website warmshowers]

[change of pen ink] Katja and Yves fed us that night (beat soup, rice, broccoli, and steak). It was good. Then they gave us ice cream. So GOOD!

Later, Yves showed us pics from their trip through Central and South America. It was beautiful, but I thought it would never end.
