My Bicycle Trip Across Canada: Day 6: Desert

May 3rd: Duffy Lake Prov Park, BC to Marble Canyon Prov Park, BC: 96km; hardest climb: 600m

Woke up at 6:30, made a fire again, and packed up. We set up and left by 8:30.

The first part of the descent was a let down: rolling hills (so more uphills) and bumpy roads.

The second part was amazing though. Super steep downhill finish, then this spectacular view of a lake and mountains.

Lillooet was quaint. We stopped at a A&W and I got 3 mama burgers and fries and a root bear. Finished that like a boss. Regretted that like a boss.

The next 46km were brutal! Just intense rolling hills. Again and again. Barely made it to Marble Canyon Mountain.

Odometer reads 400km! (320 from this trip) [the other 80km is from riding in Vancouver before the trip, I presume]

I wonder if any of those rock walls on the right have been climbed?
